About Counselling

Counselling is a structured process where individuals, couples, or groups work with a trained professional to address emotional, psychological, or behavioural issues. The goal is to improve mental health, relationships, or specific challenges in life.

Counselling can involve talking through feelings and experiences, learning new coping skills, and making behaviour changes. It’s not about telling you what to do, but helping you gain insights, manage stress, and develop healthier ways to deal with problems. There are various forms of approaches to counselling, such as Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-focused Therapy, each tailored to specific needs.

Ultimately, therapeutic counselling is about growth and healing, helping people gain the personal skills they need to lead more balanced and fulfilling lives.

About A Session

Sessions are mostly held face-to-face but can also be provided on-line by Zoom (Subject to a number of pre-conditions, which need to be in place to protect you).
